First time in Miami and some decisions to make.

Hi,

I am going to Miami on mid-August for a weekend and want to enjoy the beach, clubs, good food and diving. I have seen the posts and I think I am cover for the tips on restaurants.

I need an advice on the hotel to book, since I want to enjoy the beach I saw a good deal on the Eden Roc, but is under renovation and quite far from the club-scene but on the beach. Another option is the Clinton which is close to the clubs. Which hotel from these two would you recommend more?

My boyfriend and I are celebrating his birthday, and I prefer to have the less inconveniences as possible.

What is your budget for the night at a hotel?

The Eden Roc is a BIG resort with a pool and spa and is a high rise buliding. It is not near the clubs and shopping so you would need a car, taxi or bus...

The Clinton is a small, older hotel on Washington Avenue - 2 streets from the beach. It is in the district with all the clubs and shopping. It is a fun, quaint, funky hotel that gets good reviews.

Read the reviews on this site for the Albion, the Park Central, the Courtyard Mariott at 2/Ocean, the Doubletree Surfcomber...

There is a really big big difference in the 2 hotels you have picked. I think the Clinton is a really nice choice but it is much more humble surroundings if the comparison is the Eden Roc.

To enjoy the club scene, the beach and all there is Miami - go to Loews its great to take in the vibe that is Miami. Close to everything
