Hey Carribean%26gt;

Sorry the forum ate your post!

Speaking of eating... there is a place on Lincoln Rd called TOUCH. Now, I do not hang out there myself, but the place is a combination of the velvet rope vibe nightclub and a swank restaurant all in one - the old school ';supper club.';

A friend visited recently and confirmed the rumors that the kitchen is doing great stuff. The best entrees were seafoods and best desserts were chocolatey. After supper, there is a sexy show with professional dancers and such. If you decide to go - make reservations. 305.532.8033 This is not my scene, but I thought I%26#39;d pass on the mention...

Also just off Lincoln, Buck 15 is a funky alternative to the traditional nightclub vibe. It%26#39;s the converted second floor of a decent Chinese restaurant called MISS YIP%26#39;S (1661 Meridian), but it%26#39;s kind of an anti-club of mismatched couches and hipster artwork... someone%26#39;s (kind of Disney) version of the East Village. It%26#39;s small, it%26#39;s cool, and it gets going a little later in the night. Check it out.

Let me do a general round up for you and those new to the forum...

Also on Lincoln, the glam and the grungy!

Finnegan%26#39;s 2 Irish Bar (942 -live bands some nights), Score (727 - gay friendly dance club), Laundry (721 - gay friendly launderette turned nightclub), Cafeteria (of NYC hip diner fame), Van Dyke (live jazz nightly on 2nd floor), Zeke%26#39;s Roadhouse (hot dogs and $3 international beers)...

As you said, ';Hip %26amp; happen%26#39;in!'; Dress up, bring $$$ -

Afterglow (1200 Washington), Rock Bar (1905 Collins), Bond Street/TownHouse (150 20th St), Sagamore (1671 Collins), National (1677 Collns), Delano (1685 Collins), Raleigh (1775 Collins), Standard (40 Island Ave), ShoreClub (1901 Collins), Setai (2001 Collins), Victor (1144 Ocean - I know you ';just said no'; to Ocean Drive but have just one drink here anyway!)

Nearby, mostly locals and worth checking out...

Abbey (home brews - 1115 16th St.), Purdy Lounge (local%26#39;s clubhouse - 1811 Sunset), Club Deuce (Tony Bourdain of the Travel Channel found this dive hahahaha! 222 14th St - ate tacos across the street w/stupid sauce afterward), Playwright Irish Pub (1265 Washington - Guiness, darts... the works!), Automatic Slim%26#39;s (1216 Washington - trailer park chic), Dewey%26#39;s (852 Alton - replaces the Irish House in our hearts), Joe Allen%26#39;s Restaurant %26amp; Bar (1787 Purdy Ave 305.531.7007 - where Miami Beachers eat and meet... comfort food, nice wait staff - insider vibe).

These are ';the RIGHT PLACES!'; Enjoy your vacation...
