Coral Reef Beach Resort

Does anyone have any feedback regarding this timeshare resort on St. Pete Beach , 5800 Gulf blvd? Quality of accomodations and amenities.........activities,location on beach, etc.\Thanks, traveling there this Christmas and New years%26#39;weeks.

Haven%26#39;t stayed at the resort itself, MM, but it is in a great location right on the beach. If you haven%26#39;t been to St Pete Beach before you are in for a treat, there are lots of good restaurants within walking distance of your hotel and even more if you get the beach trolley up and down Gulf Boulevard.

Pass-a-Grille is at the southernmost end of SPB, don%26#39;t forget to visit, nice quiet beach, good food and rooftop bar at the Hurricane.

For good food on SPB try Snappers and Silas%26#39;s Steakhouse. Shells is good for seafood, casual dining, at the Travelodge. There are lots of good beach bars too, try the Swigwam again at the Travelodge.

Good trips a little further afield include St Petersburg Pier and Ellenton Prime Outlets.

The town center is Corey Avenue which has some nice shops and the Beach Theater which is a gem.

Enjoy your visit, we visit twice a year and always have a great time.

Coral Reef Beach Resort

Coral Reef Beach Resort is listed on TripAdvisor as Other Lodging in St. Petersburg (instead of St. Pete Beach). It is on St.Pete Beach. I went by there a few months ago to take a picture of it and apparently the conversion is pretty new. The hotel entrance had a sheet of paper taped to the door saying ';HOTEL CLOSED';. Other signs directed you to a condo office. Assuming that they have performed the conversions to the hotel rooms, the renovations will have to be virtually brand new, given the above. If the closed hotel office is anything to go by, which I hope it isn%26#39;t, it was not appealing. But it%26#39;s the accomodations you would be interested in anyway - not the old hotel office.

Thanks, I have read several old reviews about what was the hotel.....pretty pathetic, which is why it is closed. I am curious to know if the ';keepers of the condo'; have better regard for the mode of operation. It is not recently rated on the RCI site, who is the primary user of the facility.
