Looking for 1 week vacation rental in March 2007

Looking for a vacation rental next year for a reasonable rate including stove, fridge etc. We have 3 small kids.

We would like to be on the beach.

Any ideas?? Someone suggested Tropical Shores but wondering if there are other alternatives

Well, Have you tried www.vrbo.com or www.floridarentals.com Good sites!! I just booked a week for 2-24 to 3-3-07 The one thing that stood out was most of the places have repeat business and you need to jump on a place if you find one. If you stay across the street from the beaches the price is a couple hundred dollars cheaper for the week. Good luck!!!

Can you give an idea of what you consider to be ';reasonable rate';? Also, be aware that many places on Siesta Key have a 2 week minimum during high season which includes March. Finding a private owner on vrbo.com or vacationrentals.com may be your best bet (as someone else suggested)because some of them will rent for one week despite the condo complex restrictions.

Siesta Dunes is a great place to be with small children. All condos are on the beach side of the road, but not all have a gulf view. If you can find a garden view unit there the rental rates will be more reasonable and you still have convenient access to the pool and beach. We have used that option several times.

There are many nice condos on the bayside of the island...especially at Midnight Cove. However, be aware that the road you must cross to get to the beach can be dreadfully busy at any time of year, but especially during high season, including March.

Also, check out siesta4rent.com they may be able to offer some guidance / assistance.

I like to recommend the Tropical Shores Resort when you have children travelling with you.

March is a very busy month here in Sarasota.

That resort is kid friendly and has BBQs, swimming pools and gardens.

Next dooris the SaraSea Inn. Both have websites.,www.sarasea.com and www.tropicalshores.com.
