october.....anythin happenin???

Our holiday unfortunately will be coming to an end on the 9th October which is Columbus Day and other reviews have advised me to avoid the Big Parks on that weekend leading up to the 9th - if that helps.

alex-mum,

Parks and other attractions should not be as congested in October, except, perhaps, during Columbus day which is a long weekend and then the number of visitors should increase. To obtain information about weekly, monthly and even yearly events, please, visit www.orlandosentinel.com and/or www.orlandocitybeat.com. Hope this helps.

PELUCH

I believe there is some kind of food and wine festival, in Epcot if memory serves. the dates vary a bit, but I know it is partly in October. The start dates vary, so do check.

thanks bags+peluch, been to orlando many times, but never in oct, so your info helps!!! we arrive on 5th oct, sons 16th birthday on 6th, so wont be goin to the parks till 9th, goin down to point orlando to do some serious spendin!!!didnt know about the columbus hol, so thanks for that......

We were in Orlando last October. It was after hurricane Wilma, so yet hurricane season is still in effect.

The weather was wonderful. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Very sunny and nice.

There always seems to be crowds in Orlando. The weekends are worse due to Halloween parties at MK, Universal, and Sea World. They are fun though.
