You could try sawgrass mills a huge shopping mall. I think the king tut exibit is still in town. I%26#39;m sure that you can find something to do indoors in downtown ft. lauderdale

I know this is a bit late, but for others who have similar concerns...remember that SoFL is a subtropical climate. When the weatherman says ';chance of rain'; (which he will everyday from Mary 1 until October 30th) that means that somewhere in SOFL it will pour like cats and dogs for about 20 minutes and that%26#39;s it. Maybe later in the day, it will pour buckets again for another 10 minutes. It is very rare (it happens, but it is rare) that we get northern type rains that last all day long. We dump our 4 inches in 15 minutes and move on.

Just be very careful driving if caught in it. Drive slow, put on your hazards if necessary, and push through it safely.
