Myself and my two daughters will be visiting Siesta Key mid July and want to stay either on the beach or very close to the beach. Everthing I%26#39;ve read tells me that Crescent Beach is the nicest - I%26#39;ve only been to Siesta Key once about 10 years ago, and don%26#39;t even know which beach I was on. All I know is that it was beautiful. Anyway, any ideas on where to stay for a 1 bedroom or efficiency? Exactly how crowded do the public beaches get around mid July? Would I be better off on a private beach - and how exactly do you make a beach private? I guess I really don%26#39;t understand that public/private thing...
Where to stay Crescent Beach for 1 adult and 2 kids
My family and I are also going to Siesta Key in July. Although we have not been there before I have read a ton of stuff. We chose to stay at Siesta Sunset Cresent Beach. You do have a short walk to the beach and it is closer to the south near the Point of Rocks, which I have read is no as busy as the Siesta Key public beach area. From everything I have read, I don%26#39;t think it will be very busy because summer there is in the off season. If you want to be closer to the village I have looked at Siesta Key Suites and The Banyan Tree resort. I also liked Cresent Towers Beachfront, which is right on the beach south of the Public Beach in the Cresent Beach area. Let me know what you do and how everything goes. Like I said we are going the last week of July and hope to have good weather.

Hi We are currently staying 100 yards from Crescent beach in the Banana Bay Beachside. These are self-catering units with a nice pool.
We go to Crescent Beach every day and have yet to see it crowded. Siesta Key PB is really nice and seems to have more ammenities than Crescent.
If you enjoy snorkelling then Point of Rocks is at the very end of Crescent Beach.
Try the Tropical Shores Resort. NIce family run place.

You really seem to like this place. I%26#39;ve seen you recommend this place to several people. Any particular reason???
I recommend Tropical Shores to families because of the location, the rooms, the cleanliness, the grounds and the walk to the beach.
The kitchens are nicely stocked. The staff is wonderful.
During the 4th of July, my husband and I stayed there to see the fireworks, even though we live here in Sarasota, on the mainland.
Banana Bay is also a nice place to stay.
Both have charm.
There are lots of choices on SK regarding lodging.
I have found the reviews on trip advisor to be a uselful tool when picking out a place to stay.
Some people prefer a high-rise building for the sunsets.
Hope this helps.

Am headed for Siesta Key tomorrow, myself and two kids, we are staying at Gulf and Bay Club, Bayside, before you get to the public beach. Highly recommended, have stayed here ,many times and it never lets us down. Great accommodation and a nice feel to the complex. All facilities and they have good one bed units, some of which overlook the bay.
