Has anyone ever done the ';spa'; thing at Disney

I want to suprise my mom and grandmother and maybe treat myself to a spa treatment (massgage of the body...back, arms, legs, etc) with a manicure and pedicure, but I don%26#39;t know where to start or what the prices are...

I definitely know that I don%26#39;t want to spend no more than 50 per person, plus I want to treat my little six year old to her first mani and pedi (which i think would be so cute)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh and to just note that it doesn%26#39;t necessarily have to be on Disney property...somewhere around the I-Drive area or in that area.

You definately can%26#39;t get a massage for $50/pp on site. With the DVC member discount, I still paid $80 for a massage at the Saratoga Springs spa. Mani/Pedi in a spa is also going to run alot, probably close to the $50/pp you want to spend. Maybe outside of WDW you could find a nail salon that will do the man/ped for less than $50. Can%26#39;t say where you could get a massage anywhere for that price though. But then again, I am from NY..LOL

:-)

I would love to do the spa thing at disney but, not in by budget.

For the 6 year old instead of the manicure take her to Downtown Disney. There%26#39;s a new place for little girls called Bibbity Bobbity Boo. They have diferent packages from just the hair to a full princess costume.

you cannot get a massage for that price for 50 in orlando. Maybe a half hour massage.

This is an excellent spa, so I have heard. http://www.euro-day-spa-salon-orlando.com/

This one is in kissimee, make sure to click on the right location! http://www.pierredayspa.com/index.html

I haven%26#39;t heard much about the second one, however if they are opening up multiple chains, they should be decent. They won%26#39;t be as ritzy... however they should be reasonable for you.

I wouldn%26#39;t take your daughter to a cheap place... I know that sounds silly but... They will treat her like a little lady at a nicer place and the price difference will be minimal. They probably will not charge you as much if you tell them she is 6, pretty much because it wont take nearly as much time.

I have many more suggestions but I have no idea where you are staying so that is the best I can do for you at the moment!

check the Dolphin hotel website, on disney property, they have a section taliored for young women as well. That will probably accept you daughter for services...

Really if you are not staying near disney, let me know the general area... I know of a lot of great places... that are more ';in town';

The spa is not inexpensive but very enjoyable. Have had massages at Grand Floridian and it was wonderful!

I dont think you can get that sort of price in Boston either. You will have to decide what you want, massage or mani and pedi and try for a good price off site. $50 is very inexpensive for a massage, especially a spa quality.

Well actually I want to get my mom and nanna a nice massage (of the back and legs)that also may include a mani and pedi for around $100.00pp and my daughter can get a facial, mani and pedi...it shouldn%26#39;t cost much for her because it won%26#39;t take that long...but I don%26#39;t want to go over 300.00 for all 4 of us.

As to where I am staying...the first 5 days is Sheraton Vistana Villages and the last 5 days I am staying at Residence Inn SeaWorld...so a really nice spa w/ great service (since it will be my mom;s and nanna%26#39;s first time...I want them to have a lasting impression of Orlando)

any new ideas???

Might want to check out Papillon the Spa at Westgate Lakes. I%26#39;ve heard it is supposed to be less expensive than some other places; of course there%26#39;s always the question of getting what you pay for. It%26#39;s definitely not too far from where you%26#39;ll be, though.
