i will be flying into the orlando airport and we have booked A CAR.

I just have 4 days in orlando.

what i need help with is :-

2. should we stay onsite or offsite. if offsite do you know of any good hotels.i am not looking at very expensive hotels, but just one which safe and nice. since we will be just going there to sleep.

3. Which are the parks that we should concentrate on and should make our priority.

4. TICKETS- I have got this site which is selling tickets at a decent price, say 3-4 dollars less than the actual website.

here is the website link

going to orlando for the first time - need all the advice...

Since you%26#39;re only going to go 4 days, and you%26#39;re going at an extremely busy time, I would advise you to pick which you would rather do: the Disney parks or Universal/SeaWorld, and focus on that. I%26#39;m not sure in that short a time (and at that busy and hot a time) you can do justice to both. You can take a week and just do Disney, even in a non-busy period, and that would be plenty.

The answers to questions 1,2,3 are mostly going to be based on your above response. Take note that if you want to stay onsite, Disney has value (cheaper) resorts, while Universal doesn%26#39;t. However, staying at Universal will get you front of the line access to rides just by using your room key. A lot of the benefits of staying onsite at Disney have to do with transportation, but as you will be having a car, that%26#39;s not as big an issue for you.

Perhaps the best bang for your buck is to rent a private house/condo/villa. As busy as the parks will be, that will also be a way to escape from the crowds. But virtually all of these are nearer to Disney, not Universal. Even with no kids, its worth considering.

The website you posted above looks like the official Disney website to me, though I don%26#39;t have personal experience booking there.

Be careful about trying to do too much in 4 days. One park everyday, especially during the summer heat, is a bit much. You%26#39;re going to need some downtime, even without kids. There%26#39;s no way you can do everything in even a longer trip anyway, so don%26#39;t feel pressured to do such.

thank you so much for yr advice.. i really appreciate it . yes thats why we want to prioritise the parks that we want to go too. can you please help me in letting me know where can i get the parks information so that we can priortise accordingly.

which are the resorts which are cheaper in disney .. are you talking of :-

Disney%26#39;s Pop Century Resort

Disney%26#39;s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney%26#39;s Coronado Springs Resort

Disney%26#39;s All-Star Music Resort

ARE THESE THE ONSITE CHEAPER RESORTS. THEIR RATES ARE BETWEEN 99-175.

are these the ones you are talking about !!

The Disney value resorts are All Stars (Music, Sports, and Movies, and maybe there%26#39;s another one I don%26#39;t know) and Pop Century. These should be the lowest priced ones. Pop Century gets more recommendations on this forum.

The Disney moderate resorts are Coronado Springs, Carribbean(sp?) Beach Resort, and Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter. Port Orleans Riverside gets the most reccomedations on this forum.

The value resorts should be the lowest priced.

Of the Disney resorts you%26#39;ve listed, Pop Century and All-Stars are the value resorts and will be the least expensive. Of these two, I%26#39;d pick Pop Century, as it is newer and better.

The others you%26#39;ve listed will be more expensive per night by a significant amount.

Here are some websites that should help you determine if Disney is what you want:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index

http://www.allearsnet.com/index.html

Here is the Universal website:

www.universalorlando.com/index.html鈥?/a>

I%26#39;d study these places, see what attractions are at each, and determine what fits best for the two of you.

My personal preference is Disney parks, but that%26#39;s just me.

thank you have already looked at the value resorts. i was thinking of doing a 2 day stay at the value resort and i just saw this website. they are giving an attractive package for universal .

Experience unforgettable thrills with our Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure Package.

One of our BEST vacation values! Includes:

Three days/Two nights Deluxe Studio Suite accommodations

Two adult admission tickets to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure

Free Continental breakfast daily

Transportation to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

PRICE OF THE PACKAGE-269.

also if any of you could suggest , which parks should we visit first . we both are adults and will be taking some rides but not all the rides. we will be more interested in seeing the parks... any suggestions on that. or any website where i can read what each park offers.

What%26#39;s the name of the hotel with the Universal Studios package? That will help determine whether it is a good deal or not. Also, you have to watch for deals that involve timeshare presentations.

the name of the hotel is enclave suites but they dont have rooms on the days that i want... so looking at other options now. can you help me in letting me know which parks would be the best to visit... or any place where i can get information about them.

Thanks for all your advice!!!

From your description, sounds like maybe Epcot, MGM Studios, and Sea World would be your best bets. These parks have a limited number of rides, but more to see than rides.

Universal and Islands of Adventure are much more ';ride oriented'; than these, so don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;d get your money%26#39;s worth from them.
