Which Disney restaurants are MUST DO'S :)

Need to plan the itenerary, its less than 6 months and restaurants are already taking reservations.

Which Disney restaurants are a must to eat at. We will have 8 dinners and 8 counters meals. I know some of the exclusive restaurants like Artist point takes to dinner coupons (on the dining plan) for one meal, but im down with that if its a must do :)

We are using our 9 yr old childs coupons as adults so we will have plenty, we will just pay cash for him most of the time or share our food with him :)

Thanks!

libby,

I just listed my restaurant choices on your other post:)

Which Disney restaurants are MUST DO'S :)

I have to agree with Healin1 on his restaurant choices. Most definitely Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom, we also love Rose and Crowne at Epcot, Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. Hollywood and Vine was our only try at MGM though I have heard rave reviews about some of the other choices, Healin1 seems to be right on the money so I would give his recommendations a try at MGM. I%26#39;m not sure if Raglan Road at Downtown Disney accepts the dining plan but if it does, ABSOLUTELY check them out. Fantastic Fish and Chips, a really good Magnus (a fermented irish cider) and bread pudding to die for!!! YUMMY!!!

The California Grill at the Contemporary is outstanding both for food and service and you can see the MK fireworks from there. I also recommend at least one character meal-the Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey%26#39;s are both fun. The Coral Reef at Epcot is pretty good,a little overpriced but very enjoyable. Have fun

My two faves are The California Grille,(great food and super fireworks view from the observation deck)and Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk. Also even though the food is not quite as good, if you can get a 7:30 seating at Rose And Crown in Epcot, you also have a front row seat for Illuminations.

cali grill sounds good! Do i need to request a certain seat for the fireworks or do you eat after or before the fireworks start?

Im a little confused on where to eat and when, when it comes to the fireworks. I heard the castle is a good place too, but i have a little boy who would rather be scalped than be caught inside cinderellas castle!

lilmuns,

Yes the Prime Time Cafe and the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater are great choices for dining options at MGM. Alot of fun and tasty food also. We have eaten at the Hollywood and Vine when purchasing the Fantasmic dining plan, works out to be the best choice of the three for our family, however hands down the Prime Time and the Sci-Fi are the best choices when dining at MGM when not purhcasing the Fantasmic dinner show. Try one of them during your next visit!

Sci-Fi Drive in at MGM. Fodd is nothing special (burgers, etc) but it%26#39;s a lot of fun eating a car at the drive in!

I think Sci-Fi%26#39;s food is really tasty. Especially the shakes!

Check on the Disney calendar what time the MK fireworks are on the night you want to eat at the California Grill and make your reservsation for 1/2 hour earlier. When you get there, ask for a fireworks view table. If it%26#39;s not available,no problem. You can either go outside on a small balcony and watch the show or watch from side in the lounge area. The lights are dimmed and the music is played in the restaurant. The childrens menu happens to be especially good in the California Grill so I think it%26#39;s as great choice all around.

I may have just had an ';Ahhh Haaa'; moment. Is it true you can use your kids%26#39; dining credits for the adult meals? If it is I just solved a huge problem for myself. Does anyone have first hand knowledge on this?
