Extra Magic Hours

One huge question... Are attractions during Extra Magic Hours really uncrowded? How long are the waits usually at the most popular attractions during this time? Thanks!

Extra Magic Hours

That really depends on when you go. If it is during the busy season, the EMH%26#39;s can been very crowded. Disney has 30,000 hotel rooms. With even a low average of 2 people per room, that%26#39;s a lot of people being pointed to a certain park all at the same time. In fact, some of the guides like tourguidemike.com will recommend that you specifically avoid the EMH park because you actually get more from a less busy park. It is a hotly debated topic on the disboards.

On the other hand, they can be fun even if you don%26#39;t get to do a lot of attractions. We went to an evening Magic Kingdom EMH last June and it was really crowded. We only did about 5 attractions but there was something really festive and magical about being in the park in the middle of the night.

I have found the morning EMH to be less crowded if you get there before they open. But it is also a shorter period of time. Not all attractions are open at EMH either, so you%26#39;ll want to check and make sure that the attraction you want is on the list, so you aren%26#39;t disappointed. I have only used EMH during the slower season, so I don%26#39;t know how it is during peak season.

I will actually be there October 3-10th so I guess it is not EXTREMELY busy. I am planning only PM EMH at AK, MK and MGM. Thanks for your responses!

Just remember, October is getting busier every year, or so it seems. Disney resorts offer lower rates at that time, so your potential for lots of folks taking advantage of the EMHs are still going to be high.

Those 30,000 Disney resort rooms still fill up fast, even in value season.
