is daytona safe???

I heard about the killing spree that was going on in feb. of 2006 and wondered if daytona beach was a safe place? and i heard that a disease went on during december and ive not heard anything else about it.is it clean because ive also heard that it has alot of roaches in the city. BTW does daytona beach have alot of little shops like myrtle beach. Are there shops and restaurants and different attractions along A1A like in myrtle beach%26#39;s ocean boulevard and kings hwy.(the beach not the mainland) and 1 more thing is the beach, around the pier, sloped or is it completely flat? is the beach, NOW, roomy or is it kind of cramped? i heard that the beach was almost 2 football fields wide, but after the hurricane it is no bigger than about 50 or 100-150 feet or less wide now. is that true? PLEASE GIVE ME DETAILS ON ALL OF THIS! OK i hope i enjoy daytona beach better than myrtle beach THANKS! You dont know how much this helps because i cant fine NOTHING on the internet about daytona beach! THANK YOU!

Yes, There was a killing spree for a while and I don%26#39;t think they have found the killer yet so that is something that you may want to watch out for, however, I read an article that most of the girls for ';prostitutes'; and that he went after them, so I%26#39;m sure you won%26#39;t have to worry about that, just keep an eye out. The city does have roaches I remember 3 years ago I stayed at the ';Maverick'; and there were roaches in the room so I left that hotel and went to the Bahama houes where I had nothing wrong with that one. For your hotel I would just do a quick scan of your room before you unpack and see if you can find any roaches, or anything wrong with your room. Daytona Beach has tons of little shops, that sell shirts, hats, swim suits, swim gear, guns, army equipment, they also have a flee market where you can find some neat things.

The Beach near the pear is pretty much flat you may experience a little slope but it%26#39;s pretty flat, I phoned some relatives who were on the beach yesterday and they said it was very very roomy and that they had no problem walking, they loved it. Daytona Beach is a wonderful place and the people are friendly, but like any other place in the world it%26#39;s not 100% safe so I%26#39;d just keep a look out and watch yourself like anywhere else you%26#39;d go on vacation or even outside your own home.
