june holiday
The Surfcomber is about 15 minutes away from the Port, however you have to go into Downtown Miami to get into the Port so I figure the cab ride may cost you about $30. In June expect hot hot weather, lots of humidity. So bring plenty of summer clothes. It shouldn%26#39;t rain, but it is also the first month of Hurricane season, so hopefully there won%26#39;t be any at that time.
The beach is safe and good to swim in. I think the Surfcomber is beachfront right? If its not, you can head onto South Beach for some sun. Don%26#39;t forget to check out Lincoln Road, great restaurants and shops! Enjoy your trip!

Thank you for the information realy looking forward to the trip.The surfcomber is supposed to be right on the beach so that should be good.If we do get a hurricane i will be in more danger from the wifes anger than the weather!!!!!!
Another question there is a shopping mall called Sawgrass Mills listed is this a good spot?
Rgds and many thanks
Chris
CNH%26gt;
Sawgrass Mills is a good 40 minutes drive from South Beach but there are a number of shuttle services offering day trips by motor coach.
If you or the wife are interested in a HUGE complex of shops - all indoors and air conditioned - offering EVERY manner of clothing, shoes, electronics, toys etc. at DISCOUNT prices - this is the destination.
There are a number of food courts as well as proper sit down restaurants and bars too. If you%26#39;re here for a week and have some $$$ in your trip budget for shopping and prezzies for the folks back home, MAKE A DAY OF IT!
Here is a link to all of the stores w/ phone numbers on the Sawgrass Site:
