Seagrove Beach???

We are two families of 7 (three kids--13 and 10) arriving Memorial Day week. We have rented a house in Seagrove Beach.

I am completely unfamiliar with the Destin area, having never visited there before and would appreciate any information you can give me regarding the area we are staying in.

Specifically, a few of us are divers, the rest snorkelers, we love to take a nice day sail (w/food, drinks, etc. included), love to eat (restaurants in the area or the best ones no matter where they are--all preferably on the water!). We are also open to any must-do activities!

Thanks to all for the help!

Seagrove Beach???

Seagrove can be a bit of a drive from Destin, but if you go in the am, it is not as long.

For your boating activities, you will want to come to Destin.

Sailing, check out Destin Sailing Yachts - GREAT sailing.

You can do a search for restaurants on this forum, but NOTE, most of the restaurants except for a few are tourist traps. Location , Location, Location.....

Seagrove Beach???

We vacation in the Seagrove area every year and love it.The drive from Destin is about 20-25 minutes along the 30A beach road.I think you will have to go to the Marina in Destin to book your Day Cruise and catch your boat out.Check into the Pirateboat sunset and dolphin trips. There are lots of restaurants in the area,Bud and Alleys at Seaside that is on the water and rings the bell everyday at sunset, check out the town at Seaside while you are there. Some evenings offer free outside movies and shops to browse. You can rent bikes and ride along the bike trail. The Red Bar in Grayton Beach(family griendly)is good as is Pandoras, try Elmos for Crab Legs and kid specials.Lot%26#39;s to do or not to do it%26#39;s up to you--You%26#39;ll enjoy it.
