Advice Needed: Hotel closed Changed to L.B.V. Resort + Spa

Hi all

We were booked into the Hawthorne/Sevana suites.

Just been told it has closed down to be sold as condos.

We have been offered the L.B.V. Resort + Spa. On checking it out it looks like its not fully opened. We go in 10 days. So any advice would be appreciated. Got to talk to T agents in morning as I feel this isn%26#39;t good enough ( the location seems futher away).

As you can tell we are a little worried.

Advice Needed: Hotel closed Changed to L.B.V. Resort + Spa

While there are some residential buildings at LBVRS that are still under construction, the resort has been open for a few months now. It is located on SR535 across from the LBV Factory outlets. If you have a car, access to the parks is very simple. For Disney, you can either go north on 535 to 536 and turn left, or you can go south on 535 to the Osceola Parkway and turn right. There is a small toll on the OP. Either way should have you on Disney property in under 15 minutes. To get to Sea World or Universal, go north on 535 to 536 and turn right. You will turn left onto I-Drive at the first traffic light. You%26#39;ll be at Sea World in about 15-20 minutes and Universal is about another 15-20. It really isn%26#39;t a bad location if you have a car.

There is a place similar to the Savona Suites called Palomino Suites that is worth checking out. It is in a very convenient location and is a great value. I believe it used to be a Homewood Suites.

Savona Suites - old Hawthorne suites is still very much in business and indeed has imporved facilities - hot breakfasts, free wireless internet all rooms. The Riu Hotel has closed down to be re-designed, perhaps your information source got things mixed up.

Our tour operator told us it has closed. (Or is it that its double booked). I am going to contact Sevana, or visit when we get there. If its open then T. Oper has some explaining to do.

The Savona Suites is located at 8303 Palm Parkway and was originally a Hawthorne Suites. I have not heard anything about the hotel closing and/or being turned into condominiums.

I rang Savona, yep they are open but not had contract with Airtours for approx 8 months!!!

I rang new place to check we are booked in. Thats fine. Phew!! Only downside is only pool open, no food or other ameneties.

Going to ring Airtours tomorrow. Will post back then.

I didn%26#39;t think that Savona Suites was closing. It sounds like a nice place to stay at and gets lots of positive reviews. Your travel agent better give you a good explanation!

Glad you%26#39;re sorted - http://www.savonasuites.com is the address of the 8303 Palm Parkway which I think you%26#39;ve already sussed. We%26#39;ve been stopping there for 5 years and keep going back simply because it%26#39;s a super location, we avoid all the busy roads, the hotel has full kitchen facilities. I believe there is now a games room. Last time we were across I rented a laptop for half an hour just to check up on a few things so in all an excellent place to stop.
