Higher Prices at condos?

Anyone seeing considerably higher prices at East Destin/Miramar Beach/Sandestin area condos? We stayed at a Resortquest condo that was $150 a night last year, stay dates this year is $245...any idea why the jump in prices?

Higher Prices at condos?

Gateway Guy,

Have they done any remodeling or improvements to the property? Or have they added any amenities?

If not, I guess the old answer, ';because they can'; (just like raising gas prices), is in order.

So sad.

I also noticed that prices through ResortQuest seem to be higher this season. They are also charging a Travel Insurance fee now which brings up the price as well. I know that you can decline it, but, since the seasons have been unstable lately it is probably a good thing to have. I guess they can charge more and get by doing so, so they do!

You might try Fort Walton.

Yo! Al, Resortsquest is doing this across the board, including Ft. Walton.

In my research, ResortQuest seems to have the highest rates of any agency. Often, several agencies have rentals at the same properties/complexes. You might want to try another rental agency or vrbo.com for a better deal.
