I am staying in Kissimmee in May and am considering travelling down to the Everglades area to do some sightseeing and spend the night. How long is the drive and can anyone recommend the best way to spend a day and where to stay?
Visiting the Everglades
Just got back. We visited Universal and then drove to the Everglades. (Took about 4 hours) We took the tram tour at Shark Valley -definitely worth the $14 and then caught an airboat ride at Coopertown. We ate gator for lunch -excellent and then went to Florida City and walked through Coral Castle. We stayed at the Super8 on Krome Ave. It was inexpensive, but nice. The next day we went to the visitor%26#39;s center at the southern end of the park and walked a couple trails. Both were great!
