Crystal Beach or Tang-O-Mar

I want to know if Crystal Beach or Tang-O-Mar are very similar or if I would prefer one to the other, I am looking at two beach house rentals and like them both, so I thought that the some beach info might help me decide! I will be traveling with a family of 5 with kids in late March.

We are hoping to just lay on the beach and relax, away from a lot of spring break college kids. The kids are 15,12, and 9.

My husband might want to fish or scubadive somewhere.

butterbean, most places in Destin do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.

The Crystal Beach area is made up of lots of beach cottages, generally in a victorian style usually with picket fences abundant. And it%26#39;s in Destin with a lot to do close by.

I am not sure where the beach restoration will be by then, maybe past Tang-O-Mar, maybe in Tang-O-Mar.

I believe ( from the recent newspaper articles) the beach will be replenished by the time March arrives. They were going to start last wek , but stormy water kept them from starting

Tang is more secluded than CB. At TOM, you won%26#39;t have to cross a busy street to get to the beach, and you will be away from the spring break attitude. CB is nice, but the homes are VERY close to one another. If you are looking to lounge around and beach activity, Tang-O-Mar is a good choice. Go to VRBO.com and look under Destin for owner rentals. Has Tang o Mar been replenished yet? We are visiting in first week of May.
