I am trying to decide between Barton G, Talula or Emeril%26#39;s. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

DEPENDS what you%26#39;re looking for...
Barton G is expensive, pretty, ';scene-y'; and largely a special event restaurant. Barton caters a lot of upper crusty parties in town and the presentation is always glaaamorous. But it%26#39;s the SIZZLE you%26#39;re paying for moreso than the steak (as they say...) It%26#39;s good pricey food.
Talula is favored by local foodies as the husband and wife chef team get great notices from the culinary community. The dining room was a little ';off'; last time we visited - service on South Beach is REALLY inconsistent... Likewise Pacific Time which used to fire on all cylinders and now misses.
Emeril%26#39;s is a chain. Love the show, love the BAM! ... but really? Not a high caliber choice if this is a special night you%26#39;re planning.
The top regarded places to EAT right now are definitely Prime 112, Social Miami, OLA... Vix too.
I guess it would help if you were a litle more specific what you%26#39;re looking for because the 3 you%26#39;re posting are an odd trio.

thanks AG. Basically looking for a nice dinner and thought the menus at these ones seemed appealing. Prime112 just didn%26#39;t do it for me as I can eat at a top steakhouse in my own city. Vix seemed more expensive than the choices I listed and Wish (which is recommended by everyone) just didn%26#39;t appeal to me (read their menu online)
You can%26#39;t ever go wrong with Talula. A favorite of locals for its innovative and mouth-watering menu at not-so-extravagant prices.
Here are some other options to consider going by what I *think* you%26#39;re looking for:
Mark%26#39;s South Beach is also pretty popular w/ the locals (www.chefmark.com/southbeach/index2.htm). OLA Steak (www.olamiami.com) has gotten a lot of buzz recently as well. Nemo(www.nemorestaurant.com) is a local favorite as well.
Hope this helps!
Thanks! I think I%26#39;m going to try Talula
