hi there - will be coming to sarasota for 2 weeks on the 21st april, hope the weather keeps fine!!! can anyone tell me what time roughly it gets light and gets dark..probably seems a silly question, but i am an early riser, (very early) and i know the rest of the family dont usually %26#39;surface%26#39; til after 9.00am, and i hate sitting on my own waiting for it to get light????.

Well, right now, it is already daylight at around 7 am and dark around 8:30 pm. give or take a few.

My husband also rises early and when we are in Seista Key he is usually been fishing for an hour or so before I get to the beach around 7:30. Are you staying on or near a beach?

It begins to get light around 6:30AM(sunrise today was 7:11) and sunset is to be 7:52 this evening. It%26#39;s still fairly light until 8:30, as previously posted. Our sunsets are pretty spectacular this time of year. Enjoy your holiday here with Sarasotans!
