Where's the best beach access Sat noon?

My husband and I are landing at 11 am on Sat April 29 and can%26#39;t check in until 3pm. We are staying along the beach in Hollywood. I would love to get to the beach asap. Where is there a good place to find parking somewhere near the beach in Hollywood? Thanks for your help.

By the time you get everthing out of the airport, it might be close to checkin time, already?

You are right to assume the locals will be at the beach on a nice Sat.

Here are two ideas....the first if a bit better, because you will have a few places to get a snack, BUT it might be full already.

The Garfield Parking lot. It is on Garfield St and A1A to the beach. Handball courts and a LADIES REST ROOM are right there :))

What to do....drive on A1A and turn down HAYES Street, which is directly S of Garfield. Go to the end and turn on Surf Alley (Road). Note the back of Angelos Pizza....make an immediate right onto Garfield (Its a one way, and you cant turn directly onto it. Find street or lot parking. Drive through the lot to the other side, If no parking still, turn R onto Connecticut St, and again left onto Surf Alley...its tight. Turn L at next stop, and go down Arthur St. If still no parking, it is really busy, then turn L onto A1A (south) and go past Hollywood Beach Blvd. Con%26#39;t S on A1A and note two very large twin condos called the Summit.

Pass them, but get into your LEFT lane after light. TURN L onto either Azalea Ter or Bouganvilla Terrace. (Note small Broward Cty Library). Behind the library, and on the street is a lot of parking. If tight, go to end of either street, and turn L onto Surf again . (This is also part of the B%26#39;Walk...be careful.

Stay on Surf, and there will be another large parking areas behind theose Summit Buildings...and the restrooms are right there.

Hollywoods restrooms stink. Nothing like Del Ray or Deerfield..

Another thought,,,,if you don%26#39;t mind the parking garage, there is one 4 blocks S on A1A at Johnson St. It is right across from Le Tub

But you%26#39;ll never see the beach until dark....they serve S L O W
