As my countown is on till my arrival in key west. I am wondering if you are allowed to drive the scooter rentals around the entire town of key west?

Yes you can, just not off the island. Depending on what scooter you rent you may not ant to ride them too early in the morn or late at night. Some of the scooters they rent sound like they don%26#39;t even have mufflers. Also be really careful if you venture out into New Town or onto Roosevelt Blvd---pretty dangerous area traffic wise.

We rented from Tropicar and on the wall in the rental office was a big map of KW. They clearly drew on the map where we couldn%26#39;t ride. (It was just a couple of roads that we weren%26#39;t interested in anyway.)

Try the Moped Hospital on Truman Ave. They rent quality scooters and you won%26#39;t have to worry about when you ride them. Pretty reasonable prices also.
