I am planning on traveling to southwestern Florida next April with my husband and 2 sons, ages 9 and 11. We would like to stay in a big resort right on the beach - a suite would be nice. A tiki bar is a must! We are looking for something with good restaurants onsite and a great beach and stuff to do for the kids.
Any recommendations? We will be visiting Orlando first so don%26#39;t really want to have to drive any further south than Ft. Myers.

We%26#39;ve been going to Clearwater Beach for well over 20 years and it%26#39;s become very kid-friendly. I%26#39;d recommend the Hilton or Shepard%26#39;s (Hilton has a better location for the kids). Frenchy%26#39;s Rockaway Grill and Palm Pavillion are fun restaurants right on the water with live entertainment. You won%26#39;t be disappointed!!
