Best Party Hotel

What is the best party hotel in SOBE? We have read that the Clevelander Hotel was a great place but is is closing for renovations at the end of July. We are in SOBE in August.

Any other suggestions?

Can you imagine? No Clevelander Hotel for TWO YEARS?

The restaurant and bar will remain open - I hear.

If you just need an inexpensive hotel near by, check out the reviews for the Villa Paradiso, The Impala, the Atlantica or the Clay.

There was a trip review for the Strand Ocean Drive which is on 10th Street and Ocene Drive, but that is more pricey. Their roof top pool deck sounds really nice.

RokBar is the rock spot. If you%26#39;re not into the club vibe, try a night at Lost Weekend on Espanola east of Washington Ave for good music, cheap drinks, pool tables and a laid back crowd.

I also wanted to let you know how fun Taverna Opa at the far south end of Ocean Drive can be. Garlicky Greek food, music, dancing... it%26#39;s dinner and a party.

Also check out the bar and ';adult'; bowling alley off Lincoln Mall at Michigan, the fun crowd at Automatic Slims on Washington, the Irish pub Playwright on Washington, the goofy Latino vibe at Mangoes on Ocean, the cool kids at Purdy Lounge and the Abbey Brewing Company...

All are more casual - less ';velvet rope'; drama... good times.
