does anyone know what the weather is usually like at the beginning of september. more rain then sun? hurricanes? humid?

I have just asked the same question and have lots of answers so take a look.

We are going in Aug but don%26#39;t think it will be much different.

Humid is almost certain. More likely there will be afternoon showers, not necessarily more rain than sun. Hurricanes are possible, as the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season is around September 10. Had none last September, but had 2 in September 2004 come close, and Floyd in Sept. 1999 affected Orlando a little, but stayed out at sea. No other Sept. hurricanes in recent memory that had any real effect here.

Was Charlie in 2004 in August? I know Frances and Jeanne were in Sept.

Charlie was mid August, Frances was early September, Jeanne was late September. They kept coming about 2.5 weeks apart. What a year!

Not an experience I care to relive, either!
