Me and my family are coming to Destin next month and thinking about bringing our WaveRunners. We are from Arkansas so the only water we are around is fresh water. I am afraid of putting them in the ocean due to salt water causing corrosion. Does anyone have experience w/ this? Would they be okay if we just flushed them out really well w/ freshwater after getting out of the ocean? Also, is there even a place that the public can dock a jet ski? We will be on Holiday Isle...
thanks!
WaveRunners in the OceanJust be sure to flush them well and hose em down real good.
I see a lot of folks just pull their trailer up to the boat ramp daily, rather than ';dock'; em.
Go here to see where he ramps are:

WaveRunners in the OceanYou can put them in either at the ramp next to Dewey Destin under the bridge or at Joe%26#39;s Bayou ramp.
You can dock them at any restaurant in the harbor or depending on where you are staying in Holiday Isle there may be a common dock space.
Considering the 100s of jet skis buzzing about Crab Island, the Pass and the Harbor I don%26#39;t think corrosion is on anyone%26#39;s mind. Just rinse and flush good.
Be careful around the bridge and Crab Island - it is no wake and the marine patrol feasts on jet skis not paying attention.
usally if you have jetskis from 98 and above with a saltwater tank there fine just flush them out befoer you come home or as soon as you do, i have take mine many time i have a 99 seadoo GTI and a 00 i checked with my dealer and he informed me they would be ok and they have been great so. Still check with your dealer just in case though.
