I was wondering what there is to do in key west for 1 day. We are 2 girls in our 20s and it is a port of call for our cruise. Is there a beach we should see or shopping? Also how far is the main town from the port? Is it at walking distance?
Day trip
The port is in walking distance of the action. Duval Street and the adjoining streets are where it all happens. If you wanted to see more of the Island you could take the trolley or the Conch Train. With the trolley you can get on and off at various stops the train is about a one and a half hour tour. The beaches aren%26#39;t all that good so if you want something like South Beach Miami or a beautiful carribean with miles of unspoilt sand and palm trees you wont find it on Key West. Lots of bar/restaurants around the Key West Bight area as well. Beware of the bars and restaurants really close to the port they tend to be a bit more pricey than the ones on Duval. Hope this helps.
