quick help with WDW dates and accomodations needed!

We went to WDW last October and stayed at the Coronado Springs, used buses, and had dining plan. We booked two rooms as we have four kids, ages 7-10 with us. Want to return, thinking about another on property site, that will accomodate all of us, either moderate or value. October was great, but considering January as well, less busy for our family. Any tips on where 6 can stay, and input on either October or late January appreciated very much. Birnbaums guide helped a lot, but it was before I discovered this site! Need input as soon as possible to book dining! Thanks! Spent very little time in the room, only there 4 days, but close to parks a consideration for time! Thanks!

Hey Muskie:

I have the same problem as you.....4 kids! :)

Coronado is nice, we have actually stayed at all of the value and moderates.

While none of them are my favorite places to stay at Disney, I would say try Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans. All Star Sports was kind of fun, but it is a bit out of the way. We had connecting rooms in all of these spots. Make sure when you reserve that you demabd rooms that have the doors that open between the 2 of them. I have heard many horror stories about this not being available, and this did happen to us one time too.

October weather will be beautiful. You can still swim, and the crowds are low. January can be down right COLD. We have been at least 5 time in January where it was WAY to cold to swim and we wore socks on our hands for mittens - and we are from Chicago where it really gets cold! Crowds near the holidays are also AWFUL!! And I mean awful!

Have a great trip!

Try the All Star suites for value resort. I know my sister-in-laws family of 6 stayed at Port Orleans Riverside which is a moderate resort. I would choose October, as late January weather might be too cool for me.

The All-Star Music has just opened their Family Suites -- master bedroom, ';sleeper'; couch, and 2 convertable chairs (twin sized, I believe), plus 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette.
