Island of Adventure

i am going to orlando tomorrow and will be visiting IOA on the 20th

i know that the first ride we go on is spiderman and hulk.

but after that i dont know so i wanted to ask is anone has been there at this time and wat the waiting time is for a few rides (jurassic park, popeye, etc)

Island of Adventure

Definitely don%26#39;t miss Jurassic Park River Adventure and Duelin%26#39; Dragons roller coasters also. I don%26#39;t care for ';water rides'; per se, but most folks love the Popeye raft ride too.

Posiedon%26#39;s Fury is o.k., but not really great. The Sinbad show is good.

The only thing I really wanted to do there and didn%26#39;t get to was the Pteranadon Flyers, but adults can%26#39;t ride them unless you have a child with you (I was trying to recruit one desperately).

Island of Adventure

You are going during the heaviest time of the year. I have seen a two plus hour wait for for the Headliners. ie: Spiderman, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Popeye, Dr. Dooms freefall. Pick the rides you have to see first, then move on to shows during the middle of the day, then around 5-7, lots of people are eating, so the lines can get shorter.

FYI-Spiderman is my favorite ride.

Sorry the last time i went in august was 1998 and IOA wasent even there so i couldnt comment on waiting times.

However the rides i would def reccomend are Hulk, spiderman and Ripshaw Falls. They are my favs!!

Have fun

Definitely Dueling Dragons. you absolutely have to go in the front. It is a longer wait but it is worth it.

The Hulk is also pretty intense.

I like Dudley Doright%26#39;s Ripsaw Falls alot and I think it is much better than Disney%26#39;s Splash Mountain.

Do the Hulk and Spiderman as soon as poss then I would go over to do duelling dragons before doubling back to Jurassic Park and then back into Toon Lagoon for the water rides. It is a lot of doubling around but that way you get to ride the popular ones before the crowds build up and the water rides when it%26#39;s hotter and a bit later and you don%26#39;t mind so much walking round in wet clothes. Ripsaw falls is great but if you want to get really wet don%26#39;t miss Popeye - I have never seen anyone come off that ride without being completely soaked! We found Poseidon%26#39;s fury a bit lame - in fact I was looking at a map with my son today and he said we don%26#39;t have to go on that again do we?

Spiderman is probably my joint favourite with Dueling Dragons, so you have to ride those. The Hulk is good too, but is right next to the entrance so I imagine that a lot of people head there first. The water rides are all excellent.

I would get there early and go in this order, which is roughly anti-clockwise:

Spiderman (gets very busy with long waits)

Hulk

Ripsaw Falls

Popeye and Bluto

Jurassic Park River Adventure (the lines move quickly on this as the %26#39;cars%26#39; cater for a lot of people)

Dualing Dragons

Alternatively, you could do Dualing Dragons before the 3 wet rides.

If the queues are huge, I%26#39;d give Dr Doom%26#39;s Fearfall a miss or save it until you%26#39;ve done everything else as it%26#39;s very tame and is over in seconds.

Unlike a couple of the other reviews, we really enjoyed Poseidon%26#39;s Fury - wonder if it%26#39;s changed since the last time we saw it? We don%26#39;t particularly tend to like the shows, but this one has some really cool special effects which are well worth seeing, although the actors and storyline dragged on a little.

I really like Poseidon%26#39;s fury as well.
