Grand Floridian, Hilton, Sheraton Vistana

Wish I could find a good map of hotels relative to theme parks.

We are Mommy, Daddy and 3 year old boy planning to go to

Disney World and Epcot. We really want convenience and nice 4-5 star hotel. I think the Floridian is obvious that the monorail takes you to both parks right? How does one get from Hilton or Sheraton to these parks? Also we are thinking of late October early November. Any problems with this time frame? conventions, weather etc?

Grand Floridian, Hilton, Sheraton Vistana

Hello hanalei,

The Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort located on the monorail system to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. There are 4 Disney parks and your 3 year old would also enjoy Animal Kingdom. Another resort that in my opinion that has the best location, and pool is the Yacht and Beach Club. It is a 5 minute walk or quick boat ride to Epcot and a 10 minute boat ride to MGM Stuidos. Buses take you to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, the water parks and downtown Disney. The 3 acre sand bottom pool can%26#39;t be beat. Check out all the Disney resorts at www.disneyworld.com, and www.allearsnet.com I highly recommend staying on Disney property, you can%26#39;t beat the convience of the free airport transportation to and from the airport and all the Disney parks including Downtown Disney. The week after Labor Day until Thanksgiving is generally a great time to go as the crowds are low and the weather is great! Halloween is busier though but still a good time to enjoy Disney.

This is a great source for hotel and Orlando maps. I am going to write the address out because some posts are removed if email links are listed.

I agree with the above post. If you can afford the Grand Floridian, grab it. It%26#39;s one of the best!

Another vote for the Grand Floridian if you can afford it.

Who wouldn%26#39;t love this place!!! It%26#39;s Disney%26#39;s best resort and its so convenient to M.K. and Epcot via monorail.

Which Hilton are you talking about?

I know sometimes it can be deceiving so where is this?

Would one need a car or how do you get from this hotel to parks?

The Hilton Walt Disney World is located near the Disney Marketplace. It is not near the themeparks. You would either have to rent a car, or take the hotel shuttles to the park. I personally go quite often to the Marketplace area, but I live near Orlando and am used to the parks, etc. For a first time visit, I wouldn%26#39;t recommend. If you were interested in hitting clubs, movies, restaurants, then I would say go for it. But with a three year old in tow, I think you really would be much happier staying at the Floridian.
