Just wondering were people living in SoBe do there food shopping,
Is there a publix or same in the area?
SoBe Supermarket
There is a Publix, maybe AG can tell u exactly but its not really walking distance. We walked there from 18th and collins in the middle of the day on a hot and humid day, oh my god did we regret it. We cabbed it back to the hotel!! lol

People in So Be do not eat food!
OK - I am kidding.
There are 2 Publixxxi (what is the proper plural of Publix?)
One is very cool and built by a famous architect, Carlos Zapata - 1920 West Ave. We call it ';The Mother Ship'; because it resembles a space craft. It is on the west side of South Beach (South-West Beach?) Most of the patrons are extremely young and lovely. Dress accordingly (no- really - I am not kidding...)
It has a huge selection of foods, beers and a new and VERY VASTLY improved wine/champagne area. There is a deli, a fish monger and a bakery on site. They also sell personal products and have a full pharmacy for prescription medication.
The original Publix is far more modest and is located on Dade Blvd. It%26#39;s your average ordinary supermarket. Wear sweats if you must.
Both can be accessed utilizing the 25 cent circle line tourist shuttle bus.
I would be remiss if I did not also include the fact that there are ';natural foods'; markets on Washington Ave and on Alton Road (again, the residential WEST area).
If you walk all the way west on Lincoln Mall to the very end where it meets Alton Road, there is a spectacular gourmet food market just north of the mall called Epicure. They have fresh produce, freshly prepared cooked entrees to go, a deli bar for sliced meats and smoked fish by the pound or in sandwiches, a well-selected gourmet cheese bar, fresh ground coffees and a bakery for everything from breads and cookies to lavish birthday cakes. There is a flower shop on site and they can provide all you might need for a spectacular in-room picnic or a special event. It is expensive but really really high quality stuff.
You can purchase liquor and beer and a few simple snack foods, ice cream and milk at Walgreens as well. CVS has groceries but not hard liquor.
