Florida Tax Free Week 24 July

Does this incentive apply to all stores and everything you buy or just school supplies? So for example would all the stores in the Malls be tax free?

Florida Tax Free Week 24 July

It depends on the price of things and where you buy them for example you won%26#39;t get tax free goods in the parks

for a better idea of what it is about look at

Florida Tax Free Week 24 July

Smithy: I%26#39;ve looked at the website you sent, and if I%26#39;m reading this right the tax exemption applies to items of clothing / footwear that cost less than $50.00. Is this your understanding?

UKT yes it is on page 5 it tells exactly what is taxable (t) or exempt(e)

and gives examples of how bogof offers work in the sale on page 2

Yes, the clothing items have to cost less than $50 each. A lot of retailers will put items on sales during that week, to make more items available under the tax free regulations. So you get good sales and a tax break together.

Can you buy several items under $50 each totalling much more? I will be in Fl that week and this will be fun. In NY it is usually the total of the purchase.

tkere: I dont know the official answer to your question, but I%26#39;m thinking if its only tax free under $50, you simply take individual items one at a time and pay for them !!!!

OK, thanks UK. This should be fun!

As long as each item%26#39;s cost is under $50, you can take the whole lot to the register for check-out. Be careful and bring the list though, because there are some items that don%26#39;t count - for instance, you can buy regular shoes but no special shoes like cleats for soccer. Have fun shopping!
