Where to stay in Clearwater Beach??

We%26#39;ve been going to Clearwater Beach for years and have always stayed at the Adams Mark Hotel, even back when it was Caribbean Gulf (now I%26#39;m aging myself)!. With Adams Mark no longer there, we%26#39;re looking for somewhere to stay in September. Would like something with a nice gulf view %26amp; balcony within walking distance to the beach and not outrageously priced. Any suggestions??

Where to stay in Clearwater Beach??

Well we have booked for the Marriot in Sept. Look around, depends what you want. The Marriot seems to fit with your criteria, reasonably priced, bay views (NOT Gulf), short walk to the beach. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of clearwater but close enough should you want to go that way.

Where to stay in Clearwater Beach??

HI, you should check out the Sea Captain by the Bay, we stayed there last October, and will again this October, right on the marina side, across the street from where the pier is, but the way its situated, you dont see the street, just the marina, very nice!!! Check out the pics under the review section, I have some posted there also. Hope this helps!!

I like the Sheraton Sand Key. It is very quiet and away from all the traffic and construction noise. It is located on the Gulf side with lots of beach and situated right next to Sand Key park. Also has balconys. They may be a bit on the pricey side for some, but that all depends on what you consider ';outrageously priced.';

Recommend the Marriott and Sheraton Sand Key, the ';developers'; are beginning to tear down what is left of the old Clearwater and build million dollar condos, so hotels will becoming few and far between soon. Marriott can be full of kids on weekends and the Sheraton caters to small conventions. Both are nice though.

The Marriott and the Sheraton get my vote too.

The Hilton is great. It has gulf view on the balcony, not outrageously priced, and near most attractions in Clearwater including trips via Island Time, Toots, etc where you can dolphin-watch and snorkel, rent jetskis and waverunners, parasail, or windsurf. The beach is right in front of you, and the pier is a very short walk. It is on Mandalay Ave so nightlife is great too.

i%26#39;ll 2nd the Seacaptain, thanks to luvtovacation for her recommendation, we were there in may its in a fab location

thanks max44, so glad you enjoyed it there!!! It is a beautiful location, and you would never even know its back there!!!! We cant wait to go back!!!

We stayed at the Hilton over July 4th %26amp; the location cannot be beat. We were on the 6th floor %26amp; the room obviously had been updated. It was nice, clean. My only complaint was the tiny bathroom with the sink inside the bathroom %26amp; also no fan in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was pricey but good. There is a tiki bar on the beach where you can order pina colada%26#39;s, etc. , expensive but very convenient. Also a snack bar right on the beach. You can rent umbrella%26#39;s, chairs, etc., also thought this was expensive, we brought our own. The pool seemed crowded so we didn%26#39;t use it but we mainly came for the beach %26amp; you can also get food %26amp; drinks at the pool. There is a playground area close by, I think this is part of the ';kids club';, it looked pretty nice. Next time, I will have to research my dining options a little more because not too thrilled with the hotel%26#39;s recommendations. The main thing about this hotel is the location is perfect %26amp; it makes up for the negatives.

I stayed at Barefoot Bay Resort and we loved it there. Small, but very clean and cute. The people were very nice. It was a short walk to the beach and had a nice deck/dock on back over looking the harbor. Great location!
