We had planned to send my in-laws back to the Tennessee hotel where they spent their honeymoon, but it%26#39;s no longer there. Our second idea was a weekend in Tampa. We thought perhaps theater tickets and a nice hotel. We%26#39;re open to suggestions and would appreciate some help from people familiar with Tampa. Thank-you!
50th Anniversary Suggestions?Really depends on what they like... If its city scape and so forth than hotel and dinner at Berns would be my choice. I love Berns.... But dinner is an event there, decor is gothic, but the wine list, food, and the dessert room (you can just make reservations for the dessert room as well, and skip dinner there). Marriott Waterside and Westin Harbor Island have water view rooms and sitting on the balcony is nice at the Marriott!
My other suggestions is send them to Anna Maria Island, if they like the beach. Its very old school, bus trolleys can take you everywhere, and the beach is breathtaking! Not nearly as crowded if you stay in the B%26amp;B or small motel type on the water there. There is no big hotel there, all built in the 60s or so.. And those beaches are private except for the public beach in the middle of the island. Dinner at the Sandbar is nice, with great food!

50th Anniversary Suggestions?Agree with Mich, Bern%26#39;s is great and really an experience! Also agree with the hotel suggestions. You could check the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center website to see if there are any good theater shows in town the weekend you are thinking. Westin Harbour Island and Marriott Waterside are both pretty close to the Performing Arts Center.
St. Pete beach is also nice. The Don Cesar is lovely.
