Condo around 100/night?

Can anyone point me in the general direction of half decent priced condos? I%26#39;m looking for a place (hopefully with views of the water, however, dont have my hopes up too high due to price) that will accommodate 4 adults and 3 children (ages 9, 5, and 4 months). The dates will be August 12-19. We were hoping to get around $100 a night... am I dreaming?

klhrivnak, August ain%26#39;t exactly high season in Sanibel due to the heat and possible hurricanes... but for the size condo you would need to accomodate 4 adults and 3 chidren (at least a three bedroom?) I seriously doubt you%26#39;ll be able to find anything around $100/day.

You won%26#39;t get water views for that price and with 7 people you%26#39;ll need at least 2 bedrooms. Sea Shells of Sanibel has 2 bedrooms and sleep sofas [not all units] and are directly across the street from beach access. Very nice units. $139/nite +tax and $742 for a week, very close to your $100/nite - you may get a discount of some sort if you ask.

Also check www.vrbo.com and you%26#39;ll find other that low and some will have rates in the $700-800/wk range and again, the owners may a bit flexible on the price. See

www.vrbo.com/19872 - Though it states 6 max, they may allow a 4 month old without a problem. It does have a water view - but don%26#39;t expect delux furnishings.

/www.vrbo.com/18575 - which is direct gulf front and only $750/week

Don%26#39;t forget that all places must chanrge an 11% tax.

Gulf view and gulf front in that price range are VERY rare, so be sure to check out VBRO - but those two caught my eye for the views. Good luck!

I went back and reread that second listing as I could not believe any gulf front unit went that low - and I was right to do so. The COMPLEX is Gulf front - the unit is not. But it is close.

I did find a condo for 100 a night that actually has one of those if you look through 2 buildings you will see the gulf. It is 2 bedroom but it is at the Sanibel Arms West with the parking lot resurfacing.

I was able to get a condo in Fort Myers Beach for around that price. It is a three bedroom, two bath across the street from the beach. Have you thought about looking at Fort Myers Beach? I think you will be able to find more within your price range there.

You can find some really nice condos for about $115.00 a night plus tax and charges on www.viprental.com - Look at the Island Beach Club 250B and 320B. They both have a view of the gulf and are very nice units in a complex located on West Gulf Drive. Also affordable are Coquina Beach and Loggerhead Cay units. Loggerhead Cay is a very Family friendly complex on the beach. Good Luck and have a wonderful Vacation if you do choose to come to Sanibel!
