beach activities?

Its been a whille since I%26#39;ve been to a beach. This will be the first time with kids. What should I pack for the kids to do on the beach. Is Volleyball still a big thing? If so, are nets already out there or do i need to bring one. Badminton? Frisbee? Oh my kids are 7 and 8 yrs old.

Any suggestions are welcome

My kids are 5 %26amp; 6 and we go to the beach all the time. Their favorites are frisbee, the Splash Bomb balls, snorkeling, and sand toys.

There are vollyball nets already set up at the South end of Fort Lauderdale beach. There is also some playground equipment on the beach in the same area such as a slide, swings, etc. Frisbees and kites are always good. Different shaped containers will keep them busy building sand castles. I have never seen anyone play badminton on the beach, possibly because it%26#39;s a little too breezy for it. Have fun and join in!!
