Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

Is it different admission for these parks? We only had one day planned for Universal in July. Which park is better for children 2, 4, 5 and 7? How far apart are the parks?

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

the parks are a few hundred metres apart and going well at a quiet time you could do both in one day, but its hard to pick,

you have shrek in universal which is a big pull and men in black. but i think jimmy neutron is closing ??? but there is et also and the animal planet show which as an adult even i enjoyed.

in the other park you have spinderman, dr zuss and the dionsaurs of jurassic park so its 50/50 but i%26#39;d there early and try and get both done, if you are there at opening you%26#39;ll get shrek out of the way early !!!

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure

There is a different admission to each park. They are walking distance apart (5 minute adult walk) and if you rent a stroller in one park you can take the stroller to the other park with you. At Islands of adventure all the children will be able to go on rides in Seuss Landing, see Dr. Seuss characters, and the 5 and 7 year olds depending on their heights will be able to enjoy other rides like maybe the Spiderman ride and a few others. If they are into Spiderman, Captain America, Xmen and a few other super heroes they%26#39;ll be able to see them at this park. You%26#39;ll need to get a time schedule when you enter the park. In November when we were there the super heroes arrived at the top of most of the hours.

At Universal Studios they can see characters such as Jimmy Neutron, SpongeBob, Shrek, Scooby Do, Woody Wood Pecker, Penguins from Madagascar, Barney. The 2 %26amp; 4 year olds can go on and do things in the Kids Zone section where they have a small roller coaster, fun play areas one dry and one with water. You can also go see a Barney show and an Animal Planet Live show in this section. The 5 %26amp; 7 year olds, again depending on their heights, may be able to go on a couple rides like Men in Black and Back to the future. There%26#39;s also the Shrek 3-D that all can enjoy and the Jaws ride depening on if you think they%26#39;d be terrified or not.

We like both parks and each time we were there have visited both (our kids now are 3 %26amp; 5). Both times we went I have found the best deals and purchased my tickets from the Universal site www.universalorlando.com. They can run some good specials like kids free and three days free on each 2 day/2 park paid adult ticket or a non-expiring second day.

The parks are side by side. Admission is separate for each park. AAA is running a special where you get a free child%26#39;s ticket for each adult ticket (a great deal) and you can buy a 2-park pass. It%26#39;s a 2-day 2-park pass but they%26#39;ve added on 3 additional days for free. I think they are also offering this on the Universal Studios website. Both parks have great stuff for the kids. We%26#39;ve been doing both since my son was 1 1/2. We also have 4, now 6, 7, 10 and 13. Universal Studios has some great rides (Jimmy Neutron, Back to the Future, Shrek, Jaws (not too scary)) that all can enjoy. There%26#39;s an area for small kids with a Woody Woodpecker small rollercoaster and a Curious George water park. Also, Animal Planet does a show that%26#39;s great for the kids and a nice break. Islands of Adventure has bigger rides but also a really wonderfully done Dr. Seussland. Plus, even if someone is just waiting with the 2-year old, the people watching is great.

Wow thanks for the info. I have a lot to think about for our schedule. Different admission? Interesting.
