I%26#39;m staying in the Fairfield Inn LBV Marriott Village at the end of the month. We haven%26#39;t decided yet how long to book a car for. Can anyone tell me how often shuttles leave this hotel for the Disney parks? Do they run all day? And will there be separate shuttles for the different parks, or do you have to go round all of them until you get to the one you want?
Thanks y%26#39;all.
Shuttles from Marriott Village
We stayed at Marriott Sabal Palms last year. The shuttle stops at all the Marriott%26#39;s. They generally have 4 runs a day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. We ended up doing the shuttle once as it was long since they stopped at all the Marriott and the evening once came before the park closed. (We did Universal and SeaWorld parks.) We ended up doing cabs which ran about $15. We figured it was cheaper than renting a car and paying for gas and parking. The money was definitely worth it because we weren%26#39;t wasting time. They do have different buses for the different parks. They may charge a small fee for the Disney parks but the Universal parks and SeaWorld were free.
Shuttles from Marriott Village
Thanks Tiredmom,
Been told there isn%26#39;t a charge for the shuttle - special offer that%26#39;s on this year... I don%26#39;t recognise the name of the Marriott you stayed at. Is it near the M. Village at LBV?
We%26#39;ll probably hire a car for most of our stay, but didn%26#39;t want to pay for a car that was spending all day parked at the hotel. If the shuttle is slow, it might be worth driving to the parks after all.
We have stayed at this hotel twice in the last two years and have always hired a car. The first time we used the shuttle only on the first day and the last bus left before the fireworks, so never used it again. If I remember correctly there are 3 buses leaving approx. 1 hour apart in the morning and the same back in the evening. The buses take you to the transportation centre and then you take the disney buses to the different parks. Coming back the buses collect you from the various parks. They were also crowded.
This hotel is in an ideal location and I would recommend that you hire a car.
If you drive to one of the Disney resorts you can park for free and use their buses to go to the parks.
