We are in Florida from the 24 September till 9th October, and have just found out that Columbus Day is 9th October.
I know thats the day we leave but does that mean the weekend before beginning 7th will mean that all the parks will be packed to bursting.
If it is I will plan accordingly.
Grateful for any information.
Thank You.
Columbus Day
Columbus Day is not an ';all inclusive'; holiday in the U.S. as only government and financial institutions ususally get the day off.
That being said, do expect higher than normal crowds for that weekend, as lots of folks take advantage of travel when they get three days off instead of two. The crowds won%26#39;t be excessive as other major holiday though.
Columbus Day
A good friend visited during this time last year. While he said weekdays were fine, Sat. Sun. and Mon.were very crowded. With that in mind, stay clear of M.K.%26amp; A.K. on the ';holiday'; weekend,as they attract a lot of local visitors.
Thanks guys x
We were there at the same time a few years ago and made the mistake of going to Magic Kingdom on the Saturday. It was heaving and as we also left at closing time it was a nightmare to get out. So I would agree, avoid those parks at the weekend. During the week before and after though it was back to normal.

oops don%26#39;t know what happened there, apologies for the double post.
Thank You Carla 5262. x
