Dinner on the way in from Airport

My 14 %26amp; 15 yr old and I are coming onto Sanibel after 7:30pm. Can someone suggest a good dinner choice? Thank you!

OverPlanner, Your kids might like a place like the Sanibel Grill or Island Cow...

Dinner on the way in from Airport

The route into Sanibel from the airport has mostly fastfood and waffle house type places. You%26#39;d need to go a bit to a lot out of your way for a decent dinner.

Downside, off season, restaurants on Sanibel close fairly early, so if you%26#39;ll not hit the island before 8:30 you should probably settle for a sandwich or something on the way in and not a full dinner. Right along Daniel%26#39;s Pkwy as you exit the airport there are several places on the right side of the road that would fill the gap. At the intersection of 41 and Six Mile Cypress Pkwy there are places, including some rib places, but I%26#39;ve not eaten there, so I can%26#39;t say how good they are.

Most of the good places I know, and then only slightly, are on McGregor or Clevland not close to where you%26#39;ll be driving. Maybe someone else has hit some restaurants coming in. I just go to Jerry%26#39;s and grab cold cuts or something, but I don%26#39;t have hungry teens to feed. ;-)

Lazy Flamingo is open late on Sanibel, even in the ';off season';. Turn right on Periwinkle and it%26#39;s not far at all on the right hand side.

Lazy Flamingo is a reasonable place to eat for Sanibel. The Caesar Salad there is good for a late meal.

As the other person posted lots of fast food on route from airport.

Here is a menu guide to look at what they have and prices.
