I booked a two bedroom suite at The Fountains located on International Dr., Orlando, in May based on positive reviews on TripAdvisor. However, recent reviews starting in mid-May and June are mixed and even considered disappointing. I am wondering if I should cancel before its too late to reserve another room at a different property for our August, 2006 vacation.
If anyone has any additional information or insight into The Fountains that would enforce either a positive or negative opinion, I would greatly appreciate your time and advice / suggestions. We don%26#39;t take many vacations because of the expense and I really don%26#39;t want to make any mistakes.
Thanking you in advance for your time.
Need Advice on The Fountains
I understand your anxiety after reading some of the reviews. I have been through the same type of worry as you! We (myself, husband, and 3 teenagers) are only able to travel to Florida once every 5 years due to the expense, so I also want everything to be great! I don%26#39;t know anything about The Fountains (sorry) but I can tell you we stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resort for 5 nights in June (2 bedroom condo). I read mixed reviews on tripadvisor, also. I was so worried, until we got there. Everything was fine. But of course, since I chose the resort, I would have felt responsible if it wasn%26#39;t fine! My advice to you is.....since you made your reseravations in May, you obviously have done some planning and research before making your plans. Trust your initial decision! Some people are very hard to please, so they write their complaints on trip advisor. Unless you see EVERY review is poor, I wouldn%26#39;t change anything. There must have been somethings you really liked about The Fountains that got you interested in it. Remind yourself of those things! Once you reassure yourself, stay off tripadvisor until after your vacation! Think about what to pack, and what you will do while you are there. Remember it%26#39;s vacation....so try to relax and enjoy!!
