Anyone stayed at the Almond Tree Inn? I am traveling with my daughter and her friend. We need three beds (two beds and a sofa are fine) which is why we are considering staying there? Their suite with two queen beds and a sofa-bed sounds pretty good. I would prefer not to pay the price for two rooms that would be required at other places. I%26#39;ve stayed at Heron House before and loved it, but it%26#39;s full for the time we%26#39;re going.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
Almond Tree Inn
it all depends...how old is your daughter? some places do not allow children under sixteen years of age. your best bet is to stay in old town so they can just walkabout without having to worry about transportation. truman ave. has plenty of nice places to stay in and is close to the ';action';. i stay at the chelsea house but am always on line on those snowy days checking out other places which might interest me. you could always call the heron house back up and have them do some work for you by tapping their knowledge.
Almond Tree Inn
Almond Tree is almost right across the street from Chelsea House and it looks fine from the outside. We stayed at Chelsea House in December and walked past the Almond Tree every time we were headed to or from Duval. Almond Tree does allow children -- there was someone on this board (Krissy ring a bell with anyone??) :) who stayed there a few months ago with her daughter %26amp; friend.
Sorry, I forgot to say that my daughter is an adult (age 22) so no real problem with age.
since your daughter is of age, there should be no problem finding lodging. i always try to negotiate the room price and since you may have to get two rooms, hey, they should give you some consideration.
